On October 8, 2023, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL Ventura) issued a statement justifying the October 7th attack led by the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas and the Islamic Jihad:

Palestine will be free! Resistance to apartheid and fascist-type oppression is not a crime! It is the inevitable outcome for all people who demand self-determination rather than living with the boot-heel of the oppressors on their necks!

On the same day, PSL Ventura issued another statement in support of the Palestinian “resistance”:

Within our lifetime, Palestine will be free! 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸 Thank you to everybody who came out today to show our solidarity with Palestine! Resistance to apartheid and fascist-type oppression is not a crime! It is the inevitable outcome for all people who demand self-determination rather than living with the boot-heel of the oppressors on their necks. We demand the US stop their funding of Israeli apartheid, and that all Palestinian prisoners are freed! @ucsbsj
